Wow. That's really all there is to say. I started and finished this book in one setting. The short chapter style of Patterson made it a lot easier but still this book was un-put-downable awesomeness. Through most of the book you know the "who" of the who-dun-it but you don't know the why. The why is what makes the book really stand out. Each mystery of the book leaves you trying to put the puzzle pieces together. Every time I thought that I knew why or how the book was going to end, I was proven wrong. I think that is what made the book so good for me.

The characters who make up The Women's Murder Club all make an appearance but I felt that there wasn't much character development. Yes all of our favorite people made an appearance but we didn't get to see much of their lives outside of the scope of the crimes. The plot more than made up for the characters though. If you've enjoyed any of these books in the past, don't miss this one!

Another book in the series of the Women's Murder Club. I like series in books with authors and am enjoying this series of Patterson's. While I can't say these are the best books I ever read, they are good-great mysteries, easy to follow, changes in characters, keep me reading mysteries. And I enjoy being entertained by a good author & his quick mind. Twisting, turning, emotional, and always keeps me guessing.

This is obviously the 9th book that I've read in this series and I think I've maxed out. A lot of sameness and there are so many new and exciting series now that it's time for me to move on. I enjoyed the characters and there were occasionally surprises interspersed throughout the series, so please don't take this as a poor review of the book -- just a personal preference on my part. Quick read, short chapters.

The Women's Murder Club deals with an obsessed war veteran, an aging movie star, multiple murders and a cat burglar in non-stop action. Lindsay Boxer faces horrific murders and comes through, non-stop. There is action on top of action in this Patterson page turner. I don't care who or how they turn these out, they make entertaining reading. For non-Patterson readers, there must be some some where; you may find it a little hard to keep up with the cast of characters. For those of us who are fans, the book just rockets! I enjoyed the book, found the subject matter frequently distasteful but regardless it was a very fast, good read. I highly recommend it.

Lindsay Boxer, a San Francisco detective, and her gal pals -- Claire (medical examiner), Yuki (assistant district attorney), and Cindy (reporter) -- join forces to bring the Lipstick Killer to justice. The Lipstick Killer is tracking women with babies and murdering both mother and child. As if that isn't enough, Lindsay is also working a case involving the murdered wife of a movie star. Everything seems to point to a notorious jewel thief as the murderer, but Lindsay isn't so sure.

Although the plot is a little simplistic and there are some events that are just too unbelievable even for fiction, I enjoyed the book. It is a quick read with short chapters (usually 2-3 pages) and large print. If at all possible, I'd suggest reading th Women's Murder Club series in chronological order.

Patterson's books are page-tuners, this one no exception. Two major storylines with plenty of subtexts, and personal storylines that aren't as sappy as Alex Cross's. Though some level of sappiness seeps through, I enjoy the evolution of the lives of Lindsey, Cindy, Claire, and Yuki. The only thing missing was big-ending suspense, as you could see the story unwinding in advance. I'm also curious about what happened with Sarah and Heidi, and could have used a loop-closer on Heidi and Peter. We got the news on their relationship and bam, no more on that front. Nevertheless, it was a good, quick yarn.

This was one heck of a book. I was glued to to it from the beginning to the end.It constantly kept me on the edge of my seat with this one guy called "Sneaky Pete" who was obviously a disturbed person to put it mildly. However, he is what made this book so much fun to read.. Plus the way Patterson connected him at the end was priceless!!!
My wife keeps asking for more of these books. So they must be good.

I've written this same thing for the other books in this series, but this book is different. My wife was reading this book one evening and then all of the sudden she got all hot and bothered and took care of that situation with me. Fellas, I'm not going to brag, but it was pretty awesome. I would recommend you buy this book for your wife and prepare to get laid. Results not guaranteed.
