I love Lisa Gardner's books and I have read the entire FBI profiler series. I don't know how I missed the . Love You More is a fast pace, action packed novel.

I love Lisa Gardner's books and I have read the entire FBI profiler series. Warren series but I think I'll definitely have to go back and do some catch up, since I started with At first, . came off as pretty hostile and controlling, but I supposed you have to be when you're leading a police task force (especially when you're a woman). The storyline itself tends to be a little too spectacular, the main character appears a little too good at being the hero.

Lisa Gardner is the New York Times bestselling author of thirteen previous novels. Her FBI profiler novels include Say Goodbye, Gone, The Killing Hour, The Next Accident, and The Third Victim. She lives with her family in New England.

Love You More, Lisa Gardner’s fifth . This dilemma Detective Warren is facing makes for an interesting point of view that adds a depth to this book a male narrator wouldn't have. Warren novel in which she also introduces Tessa Leoni as a strong protagonist, was one of those examples for me. Tessa, a Massachusetts state trooper, is arrested for the murder of her husband Brian and is suspected of murdering her six-year-old daughter Sophie. This is the fourth book of Lisa Gardner's I've read, and probably the best one so far.

Love You More" by Lisa Gardner was an amazing novel. What will a mother do to protect her daughter. Warren, a Boston Police Sergeant Detective is sent to investigate along with loads of other cops. I couldn't put this book down. It is a mystery about a mother, Tess, charged with murdering her husband and possibly her 6-yr-old daughter, Sophie, as well. The Boston police arrest Tess, a state trooper who doesn’t have much faith in cops because of her past experience. is grumpy throughout the whole book - I don't know if this is . s usual thing, or if it has to do with her situation and the whole investigation.

"Love You More" by Lisa Gardner was an amazing novel. What will a mother do to protect her daughter.I couldn't put this book down.It is a mystery about a mother, Tess, charged with murdering her husband and possibly her 6-yr-old daughter, Sophie, as well. The Boston police arrest Tess, a state trooper who doesn’t have much faith in cops because of her past experience. Tess lies to the police and devises a plan to find her daughter’s kidnapper on her own and rescue her daughter against all odds no matter what. She had to outfox the police and the bad guys. Her plan is genius! “Love You More” shows there is good and bad in everyone. It’s about betrayal, friendship, crime investigation, murder, gambling, love, and sacrifice.I felt such compassion for what Tess went through and had to endure...to save her child. This novel is a must read for anyone that enjoys reading suspense-thriller-mystery novels.

This is an action-thriller with a rather improbable plot, and improbable solutions along the way. So if you are looking for a fast-paced story with a super-heroine this might be the book for you. I had read Lisa Gardner before and I thought this might be a good place to start. It falls somewhere in the middle of her D.D.Warren series, and it's also the kickoff for her Tessa Leoni series - a spin-off, so to speak.. So the reader gets two super heroines for the price of one.

There's an opening murder, and it is the beginning of the "improbable" and rather artificially complex mystery that evolves. Tessa's husband is murdered in their kitchen with her weapon (she's a state trooper), Tessa's 6 year old daughter is missing, and Tessa is mum about the whole thing. D.D. Warren, a Boston Police Sergeant Detective is sent to investigate along with loads of other cops. D.D. is grumpy throughout the whole book - I don't know if this is D.D.'s usual thing, or if it has to do with her situation and the whole investigation. But it was more than a tad frustrating reading a long book, suffering through "Grumpy" and "Mum". Of course, in the last 20 pages or so, Grumpy starts to melt a bit (it's winter-time in Boston), and Mummy starts to open up, but by then I'd had enough of both of them.

There is one last thing that bothered me about this book, though I suspect it's true of many action thrillers, and just one reason why I generally don't read them. There are some unnecessary killings here (I counted three) that I feel were not justified. All three seemed to be motivated by revenge. They were executions, no question of self-defense. Does our heroine assassin get away with it? What do you think?

However, in all fairness to Lisa Gardner, she writes a gripping story here; it's a real page-turner. Just not my cop of tea.

Another set of crimes to be solved by DD. She does this while accepting that she is pregnant and needs to decide what to do and how to tell the father. Meanwhile she is to assigned to work the case with Bobby, a former lover, now married to someone else and a new father. There relationship remains close as they struggle w boundaries needed to define a new relationship for them.

The murders build as layers of crime are explored. State Troopers, Boston Police, spouses of said, Russian crime lords and an enforcer are involved in the crimes. Tessa Leoni and her daughter are the primary focus. Tessa's evolvement in a shooting while in high school along with Tessa's difficult childhood play a role ad well.

Enjoy the reading.

This somewhat involved crime novel pits two very accomplished female police officers against each other. Both, DD Warren a detective in the Boston PD and Tessa Leoni a Massachusetts state trooper, have made sacrifices and endured much to get ahead in their departments. That is why it is so confounding for DD to arrive at a crime scene (called by Bobby Dodge, former lover and also a state trooper), where apparently Tessa has shot dead her husband Brian of three years supposedly in defense from spousal abuse. But DD is skeptical; the evidence seems to not favor Tessa. Wouldn't a police officer be trained to deal with domestic violence without escalating the situation?

The story alternates between their two perspectives, though in the case of Tessa it is primarily her thinking that is revealed, because her movements are restricted. One thing that is quite obvious is that she has a very special relationship with her daughter Sophie; could she really have had something to do with her disappearance?

The action is ratcheted up considerably in the last half of the book as many startling developments unfold, undermining virtually every assumption and alleged fact in the first half of the book. It is easy to see why DD and Tessa have gotten ahead; all of their skills, wisdom, and grit are on display as they take separate paths in the resolution of this impenetrable situation. The plotting is intricate, but not beyond plausibility. There are some surprises in store for the usually tough DD. Stay tuned in future books.
