Read "The Set-Up," his last novel, and you'll see what I mean

Read "The Set-Up," his last novel, and you'll see what I mean. The book is far more realistic and employs less gimmickry than most such novels, and its accuracy is due to the fact that Erdman had a long career in finance, and he was once actually the president of a Swiss bank - the Salik Bank. Unfortunately, what the dust jacket does not tell you is that Erdman was convicted of banking fraud and imprisoned in the jail he describes in detail in this novel.

Imprisoned unexpectedly by the Swiss police, former Chairman of the . This ia a book I strongly recommend. In the begining, I thouth it's a book for economists because of the precision and the details of the finance transactions betwen banks and bankers. But when the thriller became the most important thing in the hole story, it was just impossible to put the book down. This is one of the best i've ever read.

Erdman makes it clear from the beginning of the book.

It was the first one I read and it convinced me to read as many. Erdman makes it clear from the beginning of the book. With the help of his wife, Black escapes and goes underground and begins to investigate the set-up. I heartily recommend this book. It is a well-written page turner perfect for a quiet afternoon of reading on the beach, by the pool, or curled up in front of a fire if spring has yet to come where you live.
