Shirley MacLaine found perfect love-in the furry bundle of irresistible . This is Shirley’s pithiest and funniest book to date

Shirley MacLaine found perfect love-in the furry bundle of irresistible canine charms that was Terry. Some of Shirley’s greatest pleasures included being with Terry on her New Mexico ranch or on a New York street, romping on the beach together, or sharing a long plane ride to a new location for making a film. This is Shirley’s pithiest and funniest book to date. In this third act of my life, much has become clearer, so much is over, and I am over so much. I have learned to ease up on worry, scheming for films or rolls, planning for better surroundings, and feeling anger at all our leaders who operate politically rather than humanely. Yes, I am over all that.

Reviews about Get in the Act (3):
Bad Sunny
Getting a little dated, but not bad. As a Middle School theatre teacher (7th and 8th grade) I find it VERY useful for in class monologues. We don't have to edit language and such. Handy resource to have.
I got this book as a resource for a class on skits I was teaching. The skits were so superficial and stereotypically teenage that I could not use ANY of them.
I wanted something to use with high beginner/intermediate EFL students and this was not very useful. The book has some very well written pieces, but it didn't suit my needs.
