Darwin's Bass is replete with insight into the motivations that send men and women out onto the water. Perhaps due simply to my aversion to the whole evolutionary theory itself. Still a good read in spite of this.

This was a gift to my husband. He is really enjoying the book. The author uses the metaphor of fly-fishing to illustrate psychological principles. He has a great sense of humor too. (Both the author AND my husband, in case that was ambiguous. <grin>)

Very helpful. Excellent shape

Not quite up to par with his other two books on this subject. Perhaps due simply to my aversion to the whole evolutionary theory itself. Still a good read in spite of this.

One of my favorite reads and re-reads. Humorous with life lessons set in short fishing stories. Quinnett is a skilled story teller and I have really enjoyed all his fishing books.

What a great read for any fisherman. It reenforces my behavior which is often looked upon with wonderment.
The author has a fantastic sense of humor mixed with good scientific information.

Paul Quinnet uses his vast knowledge and experience in human pychology and fishing, to creat a facinating disortation. He uses his clinical experiences of human behavior and relates them to fishing life. This book is very difficult to explain to someone who has not read it. I found it very enjoyable to read and use some of his ideas every day. I can't believe that this book is rated so low on the sales scale. One should also read the sister to this book, Pavlovs Trout.
