Linda Miller has considerable experience in international small-bore target shooting as a member of Canada's Shooting Team. She won medals at the 1993 Mexico World Cup, the 1994 Commonwealth Games and the 1995 Cuba World Cup. In 1999, Linda became the first woman to win the Ontario Lieutenant Governor's Medal for full-bore shooting. Most other authors either skip this area entirely, focus on the mechanics of shooting only or try to fill your head with mysticism, smoke and mirrors but this book is different.

I shoot competition rifle and htis year I wanted to take my game to the next level. About half way through my season I could tell something was holding me back and decided to purchase this book. Suddenly everything started to make sense.

It takes a lot of things you already know but might not realize how to utilize and puts them on paper. I immediately saw an improvement and started winning matches. Just reading part of the book put my head in the game prior to a big match.

They do a great job of explaining the theory and then proving it with specific examples. Linda and Keith really know how to win too and while this book is generally geared towards shooting it's very easily transferrable to any other sport or just life in general. The mind is a powerful thing and a lot of times you don't think about it. While reading this book I could see direct reflection from my life of why I did something well and then it all made sense.

This book is a must read who wants to get ahead or stay on top. It's well written and easy to understand and the methods and theory in this book work.

If memory serves, I believe it was Lt.Col. Grossman who said this was the best book on shooting he'd ever read. Such a recommendation from such a distinguished author prompted me to order this book. It is an absolute gold mine of mental techniques. Transformative in my case. Reading it feels like a privilege. When I finished the book, I turned it over and read it again.

This is the type of book that you read through once, and then go back to reread several sections to obtain the greatest benefit from the book. The authors answered several questions about shooting that I had and seem to be common to other shooters as well. As a firearms instructor, there is material which will me coach shooters better and also improve my shooting.

You may not agree with everything in the book, but try to read it with an open mind- there are a lot of interesting concepts presented. I enjoyed the examples of different concepts/ideas presented in the military, law enforcement, hunting, and competition stories.

Again, if you look at these techniques/ideas with an open mind and try using them, they will make you a better shooter and allow you to help coach other shooters.
