In this wonderful collection of 101 short essays (blog posts turned into essays, actually), gifted transformational coach Elese Coit gently opens her readers to an inward journey of self discovery and sustainable change. The book's true strength lies in the fact that the essays it contains reflect the author's own year long journey to a place of deeper insight - a journey filled with the sorts of unexpected bumps and twists in the road that each of us encounters in our lives.

This book is easy to navigate. With 26 chapters, each containing an introduction page and four to five short essays, it's obvious it was written for modern readers with limited time or energy for sustained focus. That's not to say these pieces won't grab you and hold on till you've given them their due, however. Many will. It's just that none of them asks you to spend hours reading before sharing its wisdom. Even more to the point, each chapter's introduction can be read as a stand-alone piece that invites the reader to go deeper before moving on.

My one complaint is that I found the links at the end of the individual essays/posts to be distracting and a bit redundant. Others may see more value in them than I, however, so I refuse to give more weight to the slight annoyance they cause me than it deserves.

In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed the insights this book opened me to seeing in myself. And I highly encourage others to read it and do the same. Rather than being perfect, the author revels in the wisdom she gained over a year of documenting what it means to be perfectly human. And what more could any of us ask of a book than that!
