The Mitchell Money book. I have enjoyed every book that I've ready by Sue Fineman. They are just really nice, interesting stories about people coping with life and, as works of fiction, they have happy endings

The Mitchell Money book. They are just really nice, interesting stories about people coping with life and, as works of fiction, they have happy endings. I read for the joy of getting lost in a different reality. With this book, as with any really good book, I could completely relate to the heroine.

The Mitchell Money (The Martinson Ranch Book 1. It's more of a romance than any of the Sue Fineman novels I've read thus far. But don't let that put you off it's a fine romance with a rich storyline and it manages to have all the suspense expecting of the author's usual offering.

Where had her husband hidden their money? If he wasn't dead, Rachel would leave him this time for sure. Without the money, she'll lose her only asset, the half-built house on the hill outside Maystown, Arizona. The only man who can help her is the surly ex-cop who owns the ranch next door. Gary is reluctant to get involved with the woman who backed into his truck, but she desperately needs his help. He strikes a deal--his investigative skills in exchange for Rachel's cooking. Rachel's vulnerability tugs at Gary's heart. He's been lonesome since his wife died, and he wants to keep Rachel at the ranch, but the truth about the past could tear them apart. After her husband's treachery, she'll never trust another man. Even him.
Reviews about The Mitchell Money (5):
There are two life lessons in "The Mitchell Money." One, ladies, keep on top of financial matters in your marriage. Never turn a blind eye to things. Two, unconditional family love is a healer. Ms. Fineman weaves a tale of a wife and child betrayed by a self-centered man. A tale we've heard before: wife leaves financial matters to her husband and when he leaves her or dies, she has nothing. But the author adds more twists and turns to the well-known tale, enough so that you are turning the pages, wondering what surprise she'll throw at you next. Her characters are believable, likable--and in one case, comically pitiable. Rarley does one find a character in a book like Mavis, the town gossip. In our lives, yes, but not in a book. "The Mitchell Money" is chocked full of memorable characters, sweet emotion and healing. A delightful, delightful read.
The Mitchell Money is a thoroughly enjoyable light read. It has characters that are interesting and more complex than the average romance/whodonit. The storyline is sufficiently complex to keep you guessing until the end. I can't wait for the next installment!
Love sue's story telling. Anxiously waiting her next book
Love the book so far!!
Wild Python
Ms. Fineman has woven together a great story with characters you'll love. The growing romance is compelling. The mystery begs to solve happily, but the problems keep piling up. The secondary characters really help to pull the story together, Gary's son Joe, Mitch's missing son, and the local gossip/crazy lady who has been obsessively chasing Gary since a single date in high school. She's determined to keep Gary and Rachel apart, no matter who she has to hurt. The loyalty, integrity, and sense of family are so strong you'll want to be part of it all. This is romantic suspense at its best. This is one you'll want to keep and reread.
