This Concordance of the Septuagint is founded upon the Vatican text as usually printed, but gives the variations where the manuscript itself differs from the printed editions. Various Readings from the Codices Alexandrinus, Sinaiticus, and Ephraemi are also given. It has been judged best to base the Concordance on the above uncial manuscripts, independent of the Complutensian and other printed editions, which are really no authority as to the genuineness of a reading. As the modern printed editions of the Septuagint are not quite uniform, and vary a great deal in marking the chapters and verses, it was necessary to follow some ONE Edition: that of Tischendorf (in two vols. 8vo. Leipsic) has been adopted. The Sixth Edition, 1880, has been used. An Appendix is added of words not found in the body of the work, giving readings from Origen's Hexapla and Uncial and Cursive Manuscripts.

Very useful book. It even sometimes gives alternate spellings of words, so I can look them up in a lexicon.

I have the Bagster (London) edition of 1974, and it's been very useful. It relies on Tischendorf's edition of the Septuagint (6th ed., 1880), and it is "founded upon" Codex Vaticanus, but it notes various readings from Alexandrinus, Sinaiticus, and Ephraemi. The Morrish concordance has only 284 pages, but each page contains 8 columns of compacted references. It's not as up to date or complete as Hatch and Redpath's 2-volume, 1,088-page concordance. However, the cost of Hatch and Redpath is close to [$$$]. ...
