She embarked on a fraudulent scheme many years ago to create "spiritual enlightenment" books/guides under the pen name "Wolf Moondance". She has committed numerous crimes by labelling herself and selling to the general public as "authentic teachings" of an American Indian, which is a federal crime.

I love all of Wolf Moondance's books. She has a special way of writing. I understand some folks poo-poo her, but she has lots of information put in a stunning way. Very helpful.

Please avoid this book and spread the word. The author who wrote this book and several others is *NOT* or NO WAY RELATED to any Indigenous or First Nation peoples. Her legal name is: Charlene Vernard
I caution anyone to accept her work as truth, furthermore her name alone evokes great sorrow, pain, and anger, as well as blatant disrespect in the shrinking world of the Indigenous Americans.
There are many sites that warn of her work , and she apparently moves around the country every couple of years to avoid discovery.
Word to the wise, although there are a few legitimate guides to understanding the beliefs of First Nation's, these are often vague mostly due to the very different practices and beliefs of each tribe. Ask any tribal elder and he/she will tell you the only real way to learn, is to find an elder and respectfully ask to be taught the knowledge handed down for generations.
You can read if you like, but understand its about as fictional as you can get.

I'm not trying to slander this individual, but rather inform you of these unfortunate fictional "guides"....I myself have Native American ancestry within my entire family, but I do not align myself with a federally recognized tribe because I do not have enough documentation for the required blood quantum due to the census fire that destroyed most of the records in the early 1900's....it would be morally wrong, and disrespectful to present myself as a native without complete proof....

Wolf Moondance's creativity should be applauded. This author is a Shaman like no other. I would like to see this author create a novel along the same lines of this book. The book touches the heart and is one of the best works I have ever read!!! BUY THIS AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!

This must be one of the most influential books I've ever read- but quietly so. A friend lent me a copy- then I bought mine. I found it difficult for the 1st 20 pages, maybe the different cultural approach, BUT THEN IT CLICKED, and I understood what Wolf Moodance was teaching me, how she led me through to self discovery, explaining the trials and hurdles- and how to overcome them,to feel comfortable about a spiritual side long denied. A copy of this book will always be treasured, and read many times. I've now bought another by her.
This is a very powerful book, that if read before night time will give you some great insights sometimes manifest in your dreams. It is also a step by step instructional book, with some great lessons.
