The Scout is for everyone who has ever wondered how baseball scouts know how to predict a 16 year old's future. I purchased this book when I was a young boy of about 8 or 9 years old and wanted to kow everything about baseball. This book provided me with excellent insight to just one aspect of the world of baseball. Reading about all of the great adventures of Red increased my love for the game and showed me a world I probably will never know.

This scout is the Grand Old Man of the profession. Lots of great anecdotes and insights into the pre-MLB Draft world of signings.
