Technical Theater for No. .has been added to your Cart. Simply put, this is the most helpful book on the technical side of theater I have ever read. Mr. Campbell is a rare individual.
The 13-digit and 10-digit formats both work. This is a good resource book for those having to teach a technical theatre class but who have little to no technical theatre experience themselves. I will be using some of the books info for my Drama I classes where I teach not only the acting side of theatre, but also touch on the technical side as well. the book is laid out in an easy to understand format that can be utilized by teachers. One person found this helpful.

Technical Theatre for Nontechnical People' might not have a fascinating plot or loveable characters, but nonetheless it's an essential reference for anyone who has to set foot on any kind of stage. It's not designed for professionals, but time and time again has saved my skin when I've had to explain to someone what "that spinny light thing" is or how to keep your mic techs happy as a lead actor. Drew Campbell does an excellent job of presenting all the information needed to run a theatre. Even though the technology he references is out of date by today's standards the information and basic process is still relevant and applicable.
