I won't write a review about the contents of the book itself, rather how I just the purchasing of it. I needed this book for an Art History report, and since all copies at my local library were out, I decided to buy it used from Amazon. It came fast with Prime, and the overall condition is good. It has a bit of wear and tear on the outer sleeve and still has stickers on it (I'm assuming it used to belong to a school library) but that didn't bother me that much. Overall good buy, and great reference for all areas of Roman art.

A very solid resource. I teach Latin in a public middle school where space and time are always at a premium. I appreciate the scope of the presentation, the abundance of images, the well-covering yet concise text, and the paperback format. It is lightweight and stays open on a page...very helpful when trying to work with a student.

The Ramage's text is considered the standard in its field, and I purchased it on recommendation of my son, who teaches Art History. In my case I wanted to learn about Etruscan and Roman art in preparation for a planned trip to Italy. The book is well-written and has very clear illustrations, and I anticipate extra enjoyment of my vacation next Spring from having learned about this important cultural history.
