Generally interesting essays about American government and politics issues like the Constitution, abortion, voting, interest groups, and the Supreme Court. Each section has at least one essay for each side of whatever topic is being argued, which gives the book a balanced viewpoint. It was a useful tool in an American government course. The arguments aren't particularly good but that is something of an advantage in the context.
