is a great book not just for beginning teachers, but also for those who have been in the trenches for awhile. The chapters are informative on the different types of issues teachers face daily, and the cartoons are an added benefit to add comic relief or, to be able to say; "I know exactly how that teacher-student-parent-administrator feels! I would definitely purchase this book!

This book is fantastic. Both the people in my graduate program and in the school I am working all use this book. It is very detailed and covers almost any situation you would encounter on a given day. I like the flow of the writing--generally these texts can be kid of dry. I refer to it almost every day.
