They are derived from interviews with 110 undergraduates and 11 student affairs administrators from large public research institutions, small privates, community colleges, and mid-sized comprehensive schools.The book begins with guidance on how to use case studies effectively, and on how to incorporate theory in analyzing them. I have met both authors before at conferences and know that they produce good work, so I had confidence that the book would be well written. My confidence in them was well placed. I selected over 20 of their case studies to use in the course that I planned. The case studies in this volume vary in length and complexity and offer a wide range of functional areas. Written well and provides case studies that students are likely to experience (or have experiences very similar) throughout their college career. It was useful to test our leadership skills and ability to hand situations.
