I always get a Luxe City Guide whenever I travel. use I was traveling to Sydney for a Family holiday. We checked out some of the restaurants recommended in Luxe Guide. I would say Luxe’s recommendations are always excellent.

I always get a Luxe City Guide whenever I travel. Next stop, Paris! I had Luxe Paris but I guess the version is outdated and I will definitely get one before I travel to Paris. A friend recommended Luxe so bought the digital version of the guide for Copenhagen ed it.

No, no I don't. Why would it be? Next year it will be 40 years since Jane Fonda visited Vietnam and 36 years since the end of the war.

Why would anyone think Hanoi was all Jane Fonda and people in tin hats?

Just how dumb are the people you are writing for?

This is an idea whose time had come.......but now may well have gone.
The Luxe series presents concise, fact-filled travel information, with the promise to update it each 6 months.
You don't have to pore through 53 hotel options, especially when you have already booked your accommodation anyway.
Luxe Hanoi was one of the first times I used the guide, and liked it a lot - still do.
Then I recognised the serious flaw; most of the recommendations - especially shopping - were for stores owned by expatriates.
These stores are good, but don't take you to the heart of Hanoi, and it is a heart well worth finding.
In addition, the writing style - meant to be witty I suppose - is tiresome and at times grating.
So, if you see one lying about, grab it and use it.
But I have a feeling that Tripadviser has taken the space that Luxe once occupied.

Why buy this unless you messed up like me. This whole series is only a copy of first chapter in any tour book that describes a coupla food places, a coupla hotels and a coupla stores. Sure felt duped. Sending it back will cost the same as postage.
