This book has an amazing set of problems most of which need concepts from 3-4 different areas of Physics to solve, thus testing and developing your combinatorial creativity, which is in my humble opinion the mainstay of the creative process. This book changed the way I thought about problem solving! Often some questions would take a day or two to solve and when finally solved would give such a kick that I was always wanting to solve more. Many problems in Irodov involved not only a good understanding of physics, but also required mental alertness. A question in the "Optics" section could just as easily need an understanding of gravity, electricity and even mechanics.

Some of the major unsolved problems in physics are theoretical, meaning that existing theories seem incapable of explaining a certain observed phenomenon or experimental result. The others are experimental, meaning that there is a difficulty in creating an experiment to test a proposed theory or investigate a phenomenon in greater detail.

There is a book (problem in physics ) ed. By . KROTOV which is beyond jee level and you can actually feel the book while solving problems. I would recommend you not to go directly on KROTOV just go through . irodov firstly What is required for clearing JEE ? It is your crystal clear concepts, speed and accuracy. Problems in General Physics by . Irodov contains numerous problems that help you build your concepts beyond the level of JEE. If you had completed your theory portion and looking for problems that can check your concepts I think you should refer to this book. Some problems in the book requires out of the box thinking thus it also makes you more creative.

Problems in General Physics is an indepensible book for those who are trying to get through to touch exams. Mir also published a number of Problem Books in Physics and Mathematics. In this post we will looking at problem books in Physics. The most famous of these in India is the one by Irodov. Problems in General Physics is an indepensible book for those who are trying to get through to touch exams. So popular is the book that many Solutions to the book have been publised, which discuss the problems when they are solved. The typical format the books have two sections

This book is vary popular in Russian technical universities. Irodov's book is published also in English and popular in many countries, especially in India.

This book is vary popular in Russian technical universities. After a while solutions to other books of physics problems have been added. If you want you can try to read it with Google Translate. So I created this section. Irodov - Problems in General Physics (download 3,8 Mb in DjVu format) and free solutions from this site.
