Okay Clark...What's up? I've seen his show countless times. The show is great...he really is a smart guy. The book, though, well, it's okay. There is just not a lot to say here. Clark's insights are not very expansive and only touch on the peripheral of what he could actually share if he was really going to make us "Clark Smart." It's okay...it offers insights and advice, but it is nothing to write home about, or a review for that matter.

A friend tipped me off to Clark's radio show which I listen to over the net since I live in a small town in California. I was a bit skeptical, but once I began listening I couldn't stop. The best thing about Clark Howard is his realistic view on money and purchasing. He understands "deals", but more importantly he understands "value". We all know those people who will do anything to find deals regardless of value. I'm buying two copies of this book, one for myself and one for the friend who told me about Clark Howard. I recommend you buy it, you'll feel better about every dollar you spend, and even better about every dollar you save.

Clark Howard is the greatest! Follow his advice and you'll learn a lot and hopefully retire in your 30's as he did!

Clark Howard's goal is to show you how to "save more, spend less, and avoid getting ripped off." This book is very effective in helping readers to achieve that. He offers a wide range of advice on insurance, investing, real estate, car repair/purchasing, travel planning, and common scams. If you have any decisions pending in any of these areas it is well worth consulting his advice in this book.

I adore Clark Howard and anything he writes. He gives the inside story on the economy and what we need to know to make educated choices in anything we spend our money on. If you are a fan of Suze Orman, you will become a fan of Clark Howard as well. Great read. Really good financial information. I recommend this book for everyone who cares about the bottom line.
