The Chemistry of Physics and Coatings will be of interest to graduates with no direct involvement in the field, such as chemistry teachers seeking examples of chemical technology

The Chemistry of Physics and Coatings will be of interest to graduates with no direct involvement in the field, such as chemistry teachers seeking examples of chemical technology. It should also prove useful to undergraduates studying materials and polymer sciences, who may be seeking a career within the paint industry. Finally, it may provide a useful introduction to the subject for new entrants to the industry. Скачать (pdf, . 0 Mb) Читать. Epub FB2 mobi txt RTF.

The Chemistry and Physics of Coatings provides an introduction to the science underpinning the paint (organic coatings) industry to graduate level chemists who may have no previous knowledge of polymer-based technologies. This book stresses important physical phenomena such as rheology, film formation, and mechanical properties, their exploitation in paint, and the economic and legislative background against which coatings technology is tested.

This book stresses important physical phenomena such as rheology, film formation, and mechanical properties, their exploitation in paint, and the economic and legislative background against which coatings technology is tested. Attention is given to the chemistry of the polymers, pigments, and solvents that compose typical coatings, and the complex 'science and art' of formulating them effectively.

Similar books to The Chemistry of Explosives (RSC Paperbacks). I purchased this book as a sophomore chemistry student. In summary, this is much more a physics book concerning explosives, dominated by thermodynamics numbers and equations. Kindle (5th Generation). It's easy to read and follow the text, and lacks the boring textbook aspect. Great book for the serious student, or even professionals looking for a brush up on explosives. I would instead strongly recommend "The Organic Chemistry of Explosives" by Agrawal for chemists.

It is sometimes nicknamed the "Rubber Bible" or the "Rubber Book", as CRC originally stood for "Chemical Rubber Company".

This is an overview of the science to be encountered in the paint (organic coatings) industry, for those well versed in chemistry but with perhaps no previous knowledge of polymer science. The physics of coatings application, film formation and performance, the chemistry of coatings components (notably polymers) and their assembly into paint, and the economic and legislative background against which coatings technology is tested are all covered in this text. The book describes, in simple terms, some of the chemistry and physics called on to support the constant innovation in the industry. Particular attention is paid to systems compliant with environmental legislation, such as high solids, water-based, and powder coatings. It also gives a general discussion of markets, in order to place the various coatings and technologies in context.
