This book is very similar to Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics by Munson et al. This is definitely not a text for graduate students unless you need a review of the basics (the chapters after 8 are considered applied/advanced fluid mechanics). I'm only a few chapters in, but I do like this textbook because it is a bit more theoretical than Munson (no more pages of text) and has a lot clearer examples (most of the examples spread over 2-3 pages, rather than Munson's half-page work). Great supplementary textbook for learning the basics of fluid mechanics for all fields of engineering. The author even includes suggested sections for mechanical, civil, and aerospace engineers.

Also, my hardcover is 983 pages, NOT 292 pages.
