Reviews about Treasures of Indian Wildlife (3):
Brakree
It is interesting that the British, while they colonized India and pretty much looted the country, also gave us these marvellous paintings. Dr. Kothari is to be admired for putting this volume together.

This book contains colorful plates taken from the original lithographs from John Gould's volumes, "Bird's of Asia". The real life episodes narrated in this book date way back to 1820, a time when India had wildlife including tigers, lions, cheetahs etc in abundance. A must read for those eager to know more about Indian jungles with it's wildlife and interaction with the natives. This book compiles experiences and notings from various parts of India published in the Bombay Natural History Society Journals.
