I’d recommend if you require this text for biochemistry, to go ahead and try to get the newer edition. This edition is slightly difficult to read, has convoluted figures and lacks explanation in certain areas (not to mention typos). The newer edition is set up much better especially when it comes to visual stimulation. It worked with my budget, but if you can, definitely get the newer edition.

Came on time and in the promised condition. The book itself is fairly easy to read- though the subject matter is still difficult. The way the book is broken down, if you are able to complete the questions at the end of each chapter, you should have enough comprehension of the material to pass a test.

Very easy to read and the text is just far enough apart to not strain the eyes. I used it for a senior level biochemistry course and loved it. Not as heavy as a book as you may think. Great pictures, graphs, diagrams, etc. to aid in the understanding of the material.
