Reviews about Immigration Law and Procedure in a Nutshell (Nutshell Series) (7):
Mr Freeman
This is for the kindle edition. I'm a law student and was looking for a study guide for an immigration law class using the textbook "Immigration and Nationality Law: Problems & Strategies" Bension/Curcio/Jeffers/Yale-Loehr. This is eh. If you go to class and stay caught up on the readings the Nutshell isn't particularly helpful. I was hoping for something that would help with my outline and all the code sections but this isn't it. The information itself is straight forward and fine, just not particularly needed as the book is quite clear. If you wanted to skip the readings this might be more helpful.

This is a study guide and not meant to help someone looking for information on "how to" go through immigration law proceedings.

A perfect breakdown of an extremely difficult subject area in the law. As a lawyer about to head into the horribly complicated world of immigration law, I needed a quick but thorough introduction to an area. It is extremely useful and provides context for every complicated aspect.

This is an excellent read for those in careers directly related to Immigration Law. Whether you are a lawyer or LEO. Wonderful product.

The "In a nut shell" series is great in general. I really like the way they break everything down. Their coverage of immigration law is no different; it definitely helped me study and I would highly recommend it

As a new immigration attorney, I have really liked having this book close by. It's been a good reference to turn to on a regular basis.

clearcut explanations on the topic.

There was a big ol sticker in the front cover of this book that said "professor review copy not for resale" and also what appeared to be a ski number on the side of the book, and a stamp in the. Borders that said "discarded". I dk where they got the book from ... But I do hope they were allowed to take it. Other than that the book was fine
Adequate and helpful for an overview of your standard Immigration class. Definitely helpful for the UCLA SOL class, and I will be recommending it to rising 2Ls.

The only possible problem is that the book does not always include citations, or parallel citations, to INA provisions. Instead, the book may use implementation rules, necessitating a bit of legwork if the professor is working off the INA. I would think that the INA would be the most appropriate authority to cite for law students, but I can imagine that if a practitioner was using the guide, then perhaps the rules are more appropriate. The book flip-flops between the two, while both would have nice (perhaps putting the cross-reference in a parenthetical cite).
