Reginald George Shelford "Ginger" Bidwell, OBE FRHistS (12 August 1913 – 23 August 1996) was a British Army officer and military historian.

Reginald George Shelford "Ginger" Bidwell, OBE FRHistS (12 August 1913 – 23 August 1996) was a British Army officer and military historian. A graduate of the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Bidwell served in the Royal Artillery during the Second World War, and saw action in the Western Desert campaign and the Italian campaign. After the war he served with the British Army of the Rhine.

1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery is a regiment of the Royal Horse Artillery in the British Army. It currently serves in the armoured field artillery role, and is equipped with the AS90 self-propelled gun. The regiment is currently based at Larkhill Garrison, Larkhill. The Regiment completed its move from Assaye Barracks, Tidworth to Larkhill in June 2019.
