Jud is the author of several books, including Pursued,a New York Times bestseller, Torn, Throw it Down, andUncensored Grace. He and his wife, Lori, have two kids and live in the Las Vegas area. They are all told in the first person, from the author - Jud Wilhite's - perspective. Again, for a newcomer to the Bible, they may be helpful. The text of the Bible is pretty much just that. No character studies, no explanatory footnotes, no maps or timelines, not even a glossary, dictionary, concordance at the back of the book.

Behind the glitz and glam of Sin City, an amazing story is unfolding. What others are saying. June 2016-Jeanne's Summer Pick~Helen grew up in a village in Tyneside in the post-war years where she suffered years of abuse. Jenny grew up in Newcastle and went on to become a golfing champion.

Ah the stories from the streets They make their way up to your window Re-awaken certain memories This . Ah the stories from the streets You ain't got no idea where they come from. Fall back on a wave Alive and well It folds and it turns It breaks, it burns It all happens once again

Ah the stories from the streets They make their way up to your window Re-awaken certain memories This way you re-live them again and again. One will change into the other Untill you don't know what is real And it's true, you've gone full circle And it's not the first time you've been here. Fall back on a wave Alive and well It folds and it turns It breaks, it burns It all happens once again. I will go this way You will go that way What's it to you? I will go this way You will go that way Who's gonna stop you?

Behind the glitz and glam of Sin City, an amazing story is unfolding. It’s a story of people who have run out of dreams, given up on hope. It’s a story of what can happen when Christians open their arms wide–really wide–in the name of Christ. In Uncensored Grace, Jud Wilhite and Bill Taaffe introduce you to card players, exotic dancers, a flying Elvis, an American Idol contestant, and a beat cop turned hero, among others. Each has one thing in common–at their moment of extreme need they encounter an extraordinary God. And the place they find him is in an unusual church community that is gambling everything on a hope-filled message they call “uncensored grace.”Writes Jud, “As a pastor, I completely misjudged what grace could look like in my world. Sure, I believed in a God who passionately pursues every human being, no matter how beat up or broken. I believed, but not enough. Not nearly.”Welcome to the streets of Vegas. What happens here could change your life.“In Uncensored Grace, Jud Wilhite describes the life-changing power of God’s forgiveness as it’s encountered on the streets of Vegas. Wherever lives hurt, God’s grace is present with more than enough power to heal.”-Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life

Having visited Vegas on a missions trip last year, God has placed a strong sense of calling to Vegas in my heart. That being said, this book is a perfect explanation for why. God's grace is so evident in Las Vegas, where adult entertainers and drug addicts worship God freely because of His amazing grace! I highly recommend this book!

i pre-ordered the book, based on the title...it came in the mail a couple days ago and i am half way through it...i am so surprised at the "real" people in the stories...i have lived in this city my entire life (50 years) and las vegas is so often depticted in a negative light...i love seeing that there are people here who care...great book!!!

This book is very well written. He tracks a number of people who suffered a life blotted with sin, came to know of Christ's divinity, accepted His plan of salvation, and became forgiven and free of their past. This book is a collection of stories of people who turned their lives around because of their rebirth in Christ.

I first came across this book years ago when someone from Central Christian Church left it by the door to my father's apartment. There is a story in here about Henry Prendes, who was a police sergeant for the the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. I did not know Henry, but in reading about his last day here in physical was truly amazing.

Sometimes this book was seemed to be going some where sometimes it lacked quite a bit. Just middle of the road.

Great Book

You don't think of grace being found in places like Las Vegas and extended to the people that Jud Wilhite writes about. This book reopened my eyes to the fact that grace is given by God and not something that man can determine. Each chapter chronicles God at work in the lives of the people we least expect to come to him. I encourage the reader to persevere and gain an insight into God at work in the lives of real sinners.
excellent book!
