If we can go through life armed with humor and the realization that we are love, we'll already be ahead of the game.

This book reminded me how important it is to live life from a place of passion rather than from a place of fear. No matter what challenge life gives us, it's really important to look for the gift in it. This book is truly amazing. If we can go through life armed with humor and the realization that we are love, we'll already be ahead of the game.

Curran goes with the Kate Daniel's series, written primarily by Ilona Andrews. Her husband Gordon wrote this. I first read the series through book 5, then I bought this little piece, to avoid spoiling the stories. I always wanted to know what went through Curran's head when he first met Kate (remember the "Here kitty, kitty, kitty" 1st Read - September 2013 2nd Read - June 2016. I LOVE Curran so I was excited to get inside his head and see some of the pivotal scenes from the series from his POV.

Through ignorance there was ascension, through self-denial there was purity. I mean, you blunder through your life taking everything for granted. You worry about mortgages and bills and money. Because the only other option was gradual mental deterioration, a rabid and all-encompassing paranoia that would eat his mind right down to cinders and polished bone. So, without a doubt, George did not need to be on the lifeboat with the others. He did not need Crycek’s madness for he had enough of his own, thank you very much.

I spent too many days scrolling idly through social media instead of working on Book Number Three. Lauren was concerned. At least he was a cautious driver. I tried not to look at the back of his massive head, square and furry beneath the cap. It took about forty minutes to reach the Wilmont estate. I was wondering why when I saw something running through the trees maybe one hundred feet to the right. It was difficult to see clearly, as it darted in and out of shadow and sight, but I saw enough to know its movements weren’t right-it ran on two legs but loped as if it was off-balance, flailing too-long arms wildly.

Journal of the daily life of a cancer survivor navigating through symptoms and therapies. A focus on life instead of loss, cautious melding of various therapies (the effect of selected therapies on tumor size, the management of white blood cell count during chemotherapy, and resolution of chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy), and patient-centered insights for health professionals make this book of interest to patients, caregivers and medical professionals alike.

In my book, Anita is a remarkable woman I met at work nearly 11 years ago, both of us drawn together by being cancer survivors. We formed an immediate bond, sharing talk of treatment, side effects, family issues, and internal turmoil. I was devastated and afraid when Anita's cancer returned. We'd meet at lunch and dig into the depths of surviving through the rigors of chemotherapy and the falling hopes for a future. She began recording her experience with this second battle via email to family and friends. And so began Anita's marvelous book that kept all of us connected to her, filling her with our thoughts, our encouragement, our prayers. How remarkable it was to see her skin pallor disappear after the Chinese herbs worked their wonders in her body. Hope rose; we saw Anita begin to arise from near ashes to new strength and vigor, and all the while we were connected and joyous with her through her writings. How thrilled I am to have the privilege of knowing this remarkable woman who has navigated with intelligence and sensitivity her course through cancer's poisonous sea and finally reached the fine clear waters of health! And she certainly deserves gratitude from the many for having so meticulously traced in writing this voyage in order to share it with us all. Thank you, Anita

Anita's work is the only one I have seen in which a patient carefully researched and then integrated various complementary modalities with her conventioanl treatment. Then she went on to document their effect.
