Professor Eldred Durosimi Jones (born 6 January 1925) is a Sierra Leonean academic and literary critic. Jones is known for his book Othello's Countrymen: A Study of Africa in the Elizabethan and Jacobean Drama. He is a former principal of Fourah Bay College. Eldred Durosimi Jones was born on 6 January 1925 to Sierra Leone Creole people parents. On his maternal side, Jones descends from the Jamaican Maroons.
