Modern Ruin is Covenant's seventh studio album. It was released on 17 January 2011 in Europe by Synthetic Symphony, SPV and on 8 February 2011 in North America by Metropolis Records. The second disc features various versions of "Wir Sind Die Nacht", a song the band recorded for the film of the same name. Lightbringer" was the album's first EP/single, released 22 October 2010. It is a collaboration with Swedish EBM group Necro Facility.
