I really hoped I'd love this book just as much as I loved the first three books in the series but unfortunately, that didn't happen. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed reading "A Court of Frost an. .It was so much fun to once again meet all the characters but I was kind of missing the excitement I felt while reading the first three books. Those books were absolute page turners and I couldn't put them down anymore which wasn't the case with this part of the series.

Honestly I wouldn't bother with this one. I have read and am a fan of most of Anya Bast's work but I have to say that this was probably the worst.

In this book (linked to jeweled) Bast's main character hire's his old acquaintance who works in a brothel to seduce his best friend. When he gets her to his house he becomes jealous when she actually succeeds and it takes the length of the book for them to acknowledge that they have loved each other all the time. Meanwhile the friend also falls in love with her and the become the typical anya bast menage a tois. What a surprise.

Save your pennies and borrow it from someone else if you are a die hard fan otherwise i'd suggest you give this one a miss.

I enjoyed this series thoroughly. One of long lost love, grief and given love a second chance. It's never too late to love again.

From the beginning, this book held me captivated. The characters were full of life and well developed which only further enhanced the depth of this fascinating story. From Lilya's horrific experience to Alex's unexpected tragedy, Anya Bast takes you through despair, heartbreak, passion, and forgiveness. In the end, it will ultimately take the love of a friend (Byron: other main character), the courage of a women, and the promise of happiness that will finally make the past a distant memory.

Anya Bast has out done herself once again. Kaitlyn was romantic and spelling taking the reader into another world. A world of wonder and magic. The sensuality in the book was very well written and those who have a great imagination can definitly picture every scence.

Lilya spent a good portion of her childhood on the streets. She learned how to be a survivor there. At the age of eighteen she met a man who would change her life. Unfortunately after a fairly short period of love and comfort her lover thought that she was cheating on him and did something unforgivable to her that totally altered her life and ability to trust and to love. Byron Andropov found her near death in an alley and rescued her. He took care of her untill she was able to once again take care of herself. Byron had fallen inlove with her, but knew that at the point she was unable to trust and love him. He left her the house that they had been living in and abruptly left her. Years later he approached her again in the Temple of Dreams where she worked as a courtesan and asked for her help with his friend. She agrees to a three week stay at his house to try to help his friend, Alek Chaikoveii.
I found the characters well written and very likable. The plot was good and held my interest. The sexual tension and sex scenes were very erotic and fun to read. I will be reading another of Anya Bast's books next!
