If you are longing for some good old fashioned WW2 action, then here it is.

This is pure action and drama from a group of special agents sent into Axis Italy to blow up a troop ship carrying arms and reinforcement to Sicily that would have turn the tide of the war in Hitler's favor.

There is the infamous Gestapo, and haughty SS officers in their crisp black uniforms bossing people around.

There are American and British spies planting explosive charges on ships.

There are midnight chases and escapes through axis territory countryside.

And finally, we have our humungous explosions and ship-sinking which will eventually help to deter Hitler's attempt to get the first atomic bomb.

One of the very first Forbes novel, and surprise, it doesn't include any of the Tweed group. A book of suspenseful international intrigue by one of the masters of the genre. This book is globe-spanning intelligence thrill and excitement, remiscent of the classic James Bond espionage stories. Extremely recommended to the fans of the genre.
