The Movement of Mountains book. i can't say i feel compelled to run out and devour the rest of Blumlein's oeuvre, but a very interesting book. not mindbogglingly deep, but a good read. best part is the main character. who'd have thought i'd get rather fond of a gluttonous, morbidly obese, occasionally sexist doctor whose emotions swing like a chandelier in an earthquake? and yet i gotta say i kept reading the book for him, watching him grow up. (don't get me wrong-he's an adult when the book starts, just a rather juvenile on.
