I've been looking for this information for a long time. Great info, good photos (color and B&W), timetables, consist lists, etc...

Excellent book covering postwar C&NW passenger service and equipment. Some very good information on secondary trains and local train service. In addition to text and photos, there are several inclusions of pages from public timetables over different time periods to give examples of the level of service on each of the major routes, Twin Cities, upper pennisula and the Overland Route. Recoomend purchasing the companion book on passenger equipment by Dorin to complement this book with more equipment photos. Good photos of trains in service.

This book is just what I needed, for reference, and painting of model railroad equipment. Great phots, charts, and lots of information!

This is a very well put together book about the C&NW passenger service. Not just for the novice but also the diehard CNW fan.

I love the "Northwestern" and was looking forward to having this passenger book in my collection. Was a little disappointed ted with the superficial information on the actual passenger operations in regard to the major terminals and division points. The color photo section is mediocre and the equipment roster is non conclusive in that the service dates are omitted. This is a suitable text for the novice railfan but is lacking in sufficient pertinent data for the hard core rail historians.
