The carburetor on my 84 T/A was something I thought I'd never want to dig into, but after getting stranded, and spending months trying to figure out what the problem was I figured it was time to tear into it. I bought this book, read it over, and took the carb apart only to find out it was in shambles. The float was saturated, emulsion tubes were just laying in the fuel bowl, the needle was stuck in the seat, and (here's the biggie) the nipple on the TPS had broken and wasn't getting a reading. I replaced the TPS and the float, put on a fresh gasket set and off I went. The car is running BETTER THAN EVER! Thanks to this book I am no longer intimidated by my E4ME Quadrajet.

This is a good book. It provides basic information regarding the Rochester family of carburetors. I would have liked a little more detail regarding the overhaul procedure specific to the carburetor I was working on. I did find the book useful.

Nice break-down pictures. Pretty good technical data. Really nice and useful hints/tips to soop-up and/or aid in fuel savings. Helps with the costly and cost savings for all type of pocket books.
