Satnding Without Apology is by far the best. While written by an insider it gives a balanced and thorough history of the school. It does an excellent job of allowing the reader to understand the cultural and spiritual forces which lead to the establishment of this unique University and which molded the school. Further, it gives a real feel of the Personalities (Bob Jones S. Bob Jones Jr. and Bob Jones III) which have lead the school for almost 80 years. Bob Jones in 1927.
