Also, one needs to have a very thorough understanding of canine anatomy and terminology to even know what she was trying to show. Reviews about The New Dogsteps: A Better Understanding of Dog Gait Through Cineradiography (Moving X-Rays) (5):

This book is an excellent start to understanding structure good and bad, and where it is generated in the movements of bone and soft tissue. An essential reference for anyone who wants to properly evaluate dogs for breeding, and/or assess the confirmation worthiness of any dog. The text gets a bit technical at times, and I think still shots from the actual radiography would be helpful along side the pencil drawings already present in this addition, but a most excellent book!

Great reference book on the mechanics of dog movement. Excellent illustrations to explain faulty and correct gait for efficient movement.

This is one of the great dog books, and any person interested in breeding, showing or judging dogs should own a copy. It is written for the novice, but is an excellent learning tool for anyone. The author explains the fundamentals in easy to understand terms. She makes the understanding of canine structure and gait as simple as a complicated subject can be. Betty-Anne Stenmark
