DeCandido (that's me ), with art by newcomer Tommy Patterson, the miniseries (very tentatitve title: The Beginning of the End of the Beginning) will pick up right where The Peacekeeper Wars left off, and will be consistent with the upcoming SciFi. The first miniseries (which we hope will be the first of many) will have Moya heading to Hyneria to get Rygel his throne back.

Farscape comics from the beginning (well, The Beginning of the End of the Beginning), then as usual I believe there’s a solid mix of previous exposition and forward storytelling to make it everything come together nicely. Reviews about Farscape: The Beginning of the End of the Beginning (7):

As other reviewers have noted (see both the paperback and hard cover versions), the characters brought to us in this collection feel just like their live counterparts we are familiar with from the TV show. The dialog, action and storyline also feel right at home in the Farscape Universe. All of that is probably due to series creator and mastermind Rockne S. O'Bannon helming the story here in the comic world as well.

This is essentially four comics collected together, forming one story arc. When compared to the TV world, it has the feel of a mini-series rather than an entire season. The reader doesn't have to wait nearly as long to get the answers, so the suspense and intrigue aren't as powerful as if it were stretched out over 22 episodes. Even Scorpius, who comes on quite scary at first, doesn't provide nearly the inscrutable challenge he normally does. Like the Peacekeeper Wars mini-series, the story relies heavily on action, and there is action aplenty. Everyone gets a turn, with Rygel playing a major part. The one outstanding mystery is the origin and motivation of a sneaky black-cloaked, red-eyed baddie who will surely enter our heroes' lives again soon.

The only negative aspect of the collection is some messy art work by industry newbie Tommy Patterson. His character likenesses are fine, but he fails in many sections to adequately express the action taking place. Some sequences are confusing and others are just poorly drawn. Perhaps he was forced to cram too much into too small a space. Regardless, it was frustrating at times to have to study panels to figure out what the scribbles were supposed to represent or what event was occurring. The art keeps this work from attaining a 5 star review. Thankfully, O'Bannon's original story notes are included as an appendix, and they go a long way towards explaining some of the things Patterson was attempting to relate. And the next collection, Strange Detractors, has a different artist whose style is much cleaner and easier to follow.

In all, if you are a Farscape fan, this work is a worthy continuation of the story. If you aren't a Farscape fan, go watch the series, then when you are a Farscape fan, this work will be a worthy continuation of the story, filled with all the things that make the Farscape Universe so intriguing.

I really enjoyed this comic. This is the hardcover, which includes all four comics in this series. It starts moments after the end of "The Peacekeeper Wars." I really liked the story. It stayed true to the characters. I laughed and worried with them. It really seemed like our Crichton, Aeryn, Chiana, and Rygel! This book tied up some loose ends and answered some questions that there wasn't time to cover in PK Wars. It also opened up some new questions and concerns to pave the way for more comics, which is awesome! Farscape is such an amazing series and it is great to be able to follow my favorite characters through more adventures. I highly recommend that all Farscape fans sit down for an hour and give this book a read! I don't normally read comics, but I loved it. It was written by Farscape creator Rockne O'Bannon.

More Farscape hardcovers are being released in 2010. They are in four parts like this series, so that means these comics are also available individually, too (produced by Boom! Studios. If you want them individually, I recommend ebay.). So far, I've seen the following hardcovers released or available for pre-order, "Strange Detractors," "Gone and Back," "Tangled Roots," and "Red Sky At Morning."(In that order) There are also hardcovers that follow the story line of individual characters, especially D'Argo. There is "D'Argo's Trial," which goes into D'Argo's back story about his wife. There's "D'Argo's Lament" which takes place in season 3 and includes him and Jool on a mission to save the others. "D'Argo's Quest" is also a new hardcover coming out that takes place in season 3, where he is hunting down his wife's killer." Lastly, there is a hardcover coming out following Scorpius after the events in "The Beginning of the End of the Beginning". All these can be found here on Amazon. I'm pretty excited to read them as they become available!

These were my first ever reading of a graphic novel! I was reluctant because I had many misconceptions of what comic books were before reading them. Because it was the only way, so far, that they've been able to continue on the story line of FarScape I had to buy the first couple in the series to try them out.... they were awesome! My boyfriend, whom is a comic book fan, was delighted to buy me a bunch more in the series for my birthday... Even if you don't pick up another comic ever, if you loved the FarScape series you should read these!

This is a few more Farscape Episodes that was never made, for anyone who loved one of the greatest Sci Fi shows ever made this is a continuation of the story by one of its creators, all of the surviving characters are still the same and some even shows some growth which is necessary to further the storyline.

The comics pick up from rite where the TV series and Peacekeeper Wars left off and 1) give some closer for those of us who think the series ended too soon; and 2) There are more adventures to be told. This makes it worth buying.

It's my favorite show. I don't know what took me so long to buy this comic book, but I finally have and I love it. It picks up where the movie "Peacekeeper Wars" left off, and it feels like a natural continuation.

After the early demise of Farscape I felt that I had lost a friend. Now that it's been resurrected in graphic novel form its better than ever. The action is depicted in such a way that it real makes you feel like you're back in the show. As I read the comic I could still hear the actors saying the lines and how they would deliver them. If you are a fan of Farscape you definitely want to pick these graphic novels.

I was really disappointed in the quality of the artwork. I just expected better.
This book brought me home again. Being able to rejoin the Farscape crew was great and Rockne's story was where I expect he would take it if he had a huge budget and the show was still on.
