This is a really sweet book. I purchased this for our son, who has recently started asking questions about things that might be in the dark (monsters, spiders, etc.). He's 3 years old, and has never had a fear of the dark before, so we have purchased this to read to him before he goes to bed. He really loves it and the pictures as so cute! It also has a little bit of a Christian theme, which we like, as my son can identify with this. I highly recommend this and cannot recommend highly enough the really sweet illustrations in this book...it's worth it just for the pictures, which are truly adorable. Our 3 yr old's appraisal of the illustrations was "awww...how cute...he's really cute, Mom!"

Cute bedtime boardbook. Very nice illustrations & my 3 y/o likes it. It goes excellent as a precursor to reading from The Bedtime Bible by the same author. We enjoy both very much. If you buy this one alone, it is a pretty simple book, though beautifully made. I rec to buy it w/ the Bedtime Bible and they pair nicely together at bedtime. Good quality made book otherwise but doesn't contain a 'long' bedtime "story" if that's what you're looking for.

We received this book as a gift and it quickly replaced "Goodnight Moon" in our bedtime routine. I love the fact that it is a Christian-based story (mentions praying and reading Bible stories before bed, and how God watches over us), but my son's absolute favorite part is the song at the end of the book, sung to the "Jesus loves me" tune. He will not go to bed without singing it! This is a great book for any toddler and would make a great shower gift.
