A Brief History of Thought book. Ferry is very readable and approaches all of the different schools of thought with a basic trinity: the theoria, or reasoning behind the philosophy, the morals or ethics of it and finally the salvation which explains how the philosophy will tackle coping with the fear of death that has to be faced (religions approach this by promoting an afterlife of some kind).

The Czar received weekly special reports on Nechayev’s prison activities. Nechayev was born September 20, 1847. He died at age 35 in prison, on December 3, 1882 – from dropsy complicated by scurvy. Among the first projects of the Reformation was the production of catechisms self-consciously modelled after the older traditions of Cyril of Jerusalem and Augustine.
