The Ilumina Bible Software is a newer, less expensive version of Ilumina Gold Premium. Do not purchase Ilumina Gold Premium because this is it. If you have Ilumina 1.0 or 2.0 don't upgrade it for $20 - $25 when you can purchase this for $14.00 (unless you can get the upgrade for less). I purchased this two days ago and received it today. I have Windows Vista and it worked fine with it. My only issue was that while downloading the program it said that my screen resolution was higher than necessary for the program to run and suggested that I re-adjust it, which I did not. I left my screen resolution alone and the graphics worked fine. This Bible software includes a KJV, NLT, and Life Application Study Bible, a one year Bible reading plan, virtual tours of 25 major Holy sites, short animations (YouTube Ilumina Bible animations for a sample), 200 interactive maps that correspond to each book of the Bible, 1,500 photos of the Holy Land, and over 400 Bible charts that summarize important information in each book of the Bible. This is all I have had time to explore today. In addition to these features, it also has over 15,000 study and commentary notes, an encyclopedia with over 8,000 articles/defintions, 1,000 group discussion guides, over 450 Bible quizzes, 350 stories about classic hymns, 1,300 Bible studies in the NT, and an interactive timeline of history. When I viewed the KJV Gen. 1, I noticed that the corresponding map was rather small. The problem was solved when I went to the Bible atlas; in it I was able to zoom-in which helped a lot. Also, the Bible font size can be adjusted and you can print and save photos, charts, Bible scripture etc. to a flash drive. Basically, for $14.00 I got an AMAZING resource. If you are a Pastor, a Bible teacher, a Christian who wants to thoroughly study the Bible, or someone who just wants to learn more, this is for you. It will not disappoint.

I had none of the problems with loading that some people reported. While I have the latest programs and new equipment, there were no problems. I am not the most computer literate... so thought I might have trouble especially since all of my programs and systems are constantly the latest..... Thanks for such great software!

...to use your computer to read The Bible, this is an excellent computer version. My preference is to use a hard copy of the King James Bible and the Wilmington's Guide To The Bible. This software is very good, though...
