The series first aired in 1987 as a 13-episode pilot called Family Portraits and has almost 900 episodes to date. As of 2005, the show's daily audience averaged around . million within North America. The Odyssey radio series also includes several spin-off items, including a home-video series, several computer games, and books.

Adventures in odyssey is amazing. I've been listening to it since I was 6. And now I have passed my love for it to the kids I nanny. The characters are engaging and every single episode has a lesson of some kind. They have funny character as well and even though I'm 20 now I still enjoy listening to them with the kiddos! Great for long car rides or when they've been on screens too long. One of the best Adventures in Odyssey audio-books!! A wonderful cast of characters!!

It has repeats from the volume 1 cd plus it is not placed in chronological order. There are at least 3 episodes that happen before one of the episodes on this volume. It was disappointing, because I am planning on buying all of the volumes and listen to them in the order they occur. I already own a few volumes in casset form that is how I know this volume is missing some episodes that set up for Connie going to LA. My cassets are getting worn out and I am missing a lot of volumes. I am wanting to upgrade to cd.

Love AIO. However, I thought this was Volume 2 after The Adventure Begins, but it's not and it has some repeats. It was actually a waste of money since I'd like to collect the series in order.

I love AIO! We wanted to start collecting the series from the beginning. Our sister purchased Volume 1 (the adventure begins) for my son's birthday so I picked up what I thought was Volume two. This is not Volume Two. This is the Classics # 2. It duplicates stories from the original volumes. Still a great collection, but I was confused. Make sure you read the description completely.

Our only complaint is the first 2 stories were on the previous CD set too. We LOVE Adventures in Odyssey and are going to keep buying them all to listen and share with others. We tried to listen to a book on tape the other day from the library, and the kids were bored to tears because they've been spoiled by the amazing stories, voices, and sounds from Odyssey.

If you are not familiar with Adventures in Odyssey, you will be soon enough with these CDs! They are wonderfully made and will transport you right to the little town of Odyssey. You do not need to know anything about the radio show to get into any of these stories and do not have to listen to them "in order". Our children love to listen to these before bed on their CD player (set with the sleep timer) as well as in our van. The characters are timeless and the stories are brief enough to keep even a three year old interested and listening. The actors do not seem like they are "reading" their parts and the addition of sound effects and music complete the imaginary transport into their world. We have many of these CDs and have given them as gifts.

We are Roman Catholic and the stories do not conflict with our truthful teachings. Enjoy!

Awesome! My 3 & 5 year old listen to these at bedtime & love them! We also give these for birthday gifts---great set for an introduction to Adventures in Odyssey!

Who doesn't love adventures in odyssey?!?! My kids are so happy to have more dvd to listen to in the car.
My kids love these story CD's. They do not disappoint!
