I've read the whole series to a couple homeschooled boys and each time they can't wait for the next book. This darling dragon series gave otherwise non-readers and interest in books and reading. I have seen so many children quit reading because it was too much work to "picture" the scenes and too easy to turn to video games. But I found this dragon and her Keepers really kept the boys (6 yrs and 8 yrs) on the edge of their seats. Not to mention the interest in other fields it sparked. Oceanography, sunken treasure, minerals and geodes, boats and seacraft, mermaids and mythology magic. A thing is mentioned in this book and they boys just have to go and look up more information on that. Now isn't that what every parent and educator wants in a novel? I say yes.

My students love these books. They wanted the whole series and more than one book so they could read with a partner. The characters are captivating and the stories keep them interested. This has been a great series collection for my classroom of high level second graders.

We bought this for our 9 year old grandson and he loved it so much we purchased all the Dragon Keepers books. Any book that inspires a child to read is well worth the money. We recommend a young reader to try this series.

My granddaughter eagerly awaits each book in this series. Hopefully they will maintain the adventure and fun with Emmy the dragon without getting too dark and sinister as some dragon series have a reputation ot doing.
