Ordered this book after we bought another book Dinotrain by this author. My son absolutely loves it. These are the only books he will sit through from beginning to end. He is two years old and has a very limited attention span. The rhythmic tone that the book has just grabs his attention. These books have made story time much more productive. He is now at the point where he will start saying the lines before I can because we read it so often. Out of his one hundred or so books this is definitely one of his favorites. I would definitely recommend this book to parents of toddlers and any young children really. This author really knows how to write for children. I will be looking for more books written by Deb Lund.

I found this book at a library sale and have subsequently bough all of the Dino books. We live on Whidbey island, and it turns out our neighbor is Uncle Vern from the Shifty Sailors. I love reading this book to my two year old. He loves the dinosaurs and loves boats, so it's a perfect combo. As to the vomit page. My son adores it. We make up chucking noises every time. Grandpa has a sailboat and we like to read the book when we go out. My son is familiar with the technical names for boating things and I think it's good for kids to be exposed to vocabulary of all kinds. How will they learn if they don't hear?
The cadence of the rhymes are perfect and I enjoy the Dino words. My husband and I know the whole thing by heart and it is the most requested book by our son along with Dinotrainers and Dinosoaring. We often read books over and over again, sometimes ad nauseam. But his is one book I will read a million times and laugh all the way through.

Now that my 18 month old has brought this book up to me screaming for the millionth time I can confidently saw it's as delightful as the cover suggests. Hilarious illustrations, fun rhymes and fun for me and the kiddo ( even on the tenth reading of the day)

This book caught my eye at the library because of the beautiful cover. After checking it out and reading it to my son I knew it was a must own. The illustrations are so colorful and realistic in a cartoony way. The story has a wonderful flow to it with "dino" incorporated into some term on each page. The rhymes are great for preeschoolers! My son thinks the book is too funny. He especially likes the part where the dinosaurs throw-up after getting seasick. This book is a favorite in our house.

"They're hale and hearty--dinotough!
they talk of salty sailing stuff."

Beautiful illustrations and fun, flowing rhymes make this book a pleasure to read over and over again. I especially love how they all get seasick (" "Heave-ho!" they cry, "It won't stay down!" "). I bought this book for my kids and for all my neices and nephews.

It's a cute book, but "All Aboard the DinoTrain" is way better.
